Now Accepting the Canadian Dental Care Plan!

Canadian Dental Care Plan

Blue Quill Dental Centre is now accepting patients covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), a new federal initiative designed to make dental care more accessible and affordable for millions of Canadian residents who do not have access to private dental insurance.

What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a government funded program launched by Health Canada to help eligible Canadians access essential oral health services. The CDCP covers a wide range of dental services, including:

Who Is Eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

To qualify for the CDCP, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • No Private Insurance: You must not have access to dental coverage through an employer, pension, or privately purchased plan. You are permitted to have access to both the CDCP and a Province of Alberta assistance program such as Low-Income Health Benefit (LIHB) or the Dental Assistance for Seniors Program (DASP). Having access to both a federal and provincial plan is strongly recommended, as this allows for a broader range of eligible procedures.
  • Income Limit: Your adjusted family net income must be under $90,000 annually.
  • Residency: You must be a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
  • Tax Status: You must have filed a tax return for the previous year.
