In the unlikely event of a privacy breach that poses a risk of significant harm, we will take appropriate steps to reduce risk and, where required, notify affected individuals and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (OIPC) in accordance with Alberta’s PIPA.

13. About HIPAA for U.S. Visitors
HIPAA is a U.S. law and does not apply to our Canadian dental practice. Our online forms are processed using a HIPAA-compliant form tool, which applies the same rigorous data protection standards used in the United States, even though our practice is governed by Alberta’s PIPA rather than HIPAA directly.
Our privacy practices comply with Alberta’s PIPA. While HIPAA is a U.S. law, we adhere to similar data protection and privacy standards for all patients, including U.S. citizens.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on our website with the effective date shown at the top.
